The award your industry remembers.
The Seed to Scale Awards recognise the decisions, systems and craft behind world-class companies built from India — and turn them into standards others can learn from. 21 recognitions, one evidenced case each, judged by a rotating Jury Council on a published 100-point scorecard, audited by KPMG, and revealed only when the envelope opens at The Leela Palace, Bengaluru on 18 Nov 2026.
No entry fee, no public vote, no sponsored category, no forced winner. A win here is decided on the jury's scorecard and nothing else — and every winner becomes a published case.
The Awards entry is separate from the Summit — applying here doesn't request a seat in the 250-person room. Register for the Summit separately.
The principles
Published, and non-negotiable.
Craft, not fame
We recognise evidenced company-building decisions, systems and teams — never funding, valuation, or celebrity. There is no funding-round or valuation category.
Nothing is for sale
No entry fee, no public vote, no sponsored category, no forced winner.
The unit is a case
Every entry is a specific, evidenced case from the 18 months before nominations close — not a company résumé.
“No winner” is possible
The Council may withhold a recognition when the evidence does not meet the standard. The archive matters more than the ceremony.
External-majority jury
Founders and operators hold the majority. Accel is non-voting in Year One.
AI organises, humans judge
AI clusters and organises evidence. It never scores a company or selects a winner.
Every winner becomes a case
Each recognition becomes a concise citation; selected cases become deeper learning assets — published within six weeks.
Categories
21 recognitions. One evidenced case each.
Every category is published with a real-world calibration example and the evidence of success the Council looks for — so the standard is legible before you enter.

- Individual operators doing exceptional work inside active companies.
- Future founders are not eligible in Year One.
- Work materially demonstrated in the 18 months before nominations close; earlier work counts where its outcome became measurable during this period.

- People categories: the nominated individual or team consents to the nomination.
The decision path
How a winner is chosen.
Six steps, from sourcing to publishing. Every case carries a complete evidence dossier, specialist advisors interrogate every technical claim, and the Council records a rationale for every recognition. If no case meets the standard, no winner is named.
Source
STS research and direct outreach lead. Trusted founder and operator nominations and a tightly designed open application broaden the funnel.
Screen
Eligibility, category fit, evidence availability and conflicts are checked before any case advances.
Build the dossier
Primary metrics, before/after context, the decisions made, disclosed limitations and independent references — compiled into one evidence dossier.
Validate
Specialist advisors interrogate technical and sector claims — evaluations, benchmarks, economics — before the Council sees the case.
Judge
The Jury Council scores on the published 100-point scorecard, debates, and records a rationale. There is no forced winner.
Publish
Each recognition becomes a concise citation; selected cases become deeper learning assets the ecosystem can build on.
The scorecard
100 points. Six dimensions. Published.
Every case is scored on the same weighted scorecard, and the Council records a rationale with every score. Evidence outweighs everything else — by design.
Evidence of outcome
30What materially changed, and how confidently can it be attributed?
Quality of craft
20How good were the underlying decisions, product or system?
Difficulty
15How hard was the problem in its actual context?
Durability
15Did the result last beyond a launch or a temporary spike?
Originality & transferability
10Is the approach distinctive, and can others learn from it?
Integrity & attribution
10Are limitations disclosed and credit correctly assigned?
Governance
The rules no recognition can bend.
- No sponsor, programme partner, investor or public vote can determine a nominee or winner.
- Council and advisor conflicts are disclosed; conflicted members do not score or deliberate on the case.
- Accel portfolio status is neither an advantage nor a disqualification.
- A company may win multiple recognitions if it independently clears the bar in multiple categories.
- The Council may withhold a recognition when the evidence does not meet the standard.
The jury
A rotating Jury Council holds final judgement.
Five to seven people, chaired by a global company-building leader. Founders and operators hold the majority, and Accel convenes without a vote — Accel and non-Accel companies are judged identically. Every Council and advisor conflict is disclosed; conflicted members do not score or deliberate on the case.

Attending
Access is curated. Payment can follow curation.
The room is built around finalists, winners and the people who can credibly recognise or advance company-building craft — curated separately from the Summit, with selective overlap.
Named, non-transferable invitations
Finalists, winners and invited founders and operators attend through named invitations, ordinarily without charge.
Exceptional students and builders
Students or builders whose presence adds to the room may be invited without charge.
Approved VCs and corporate leaders
A limited number may buy named tickets — after passing the same guest-list test as everyone else.
What a ticket never buys
Introductions, founder data, Jury access, category ownership, or influence over any recognition.
- Finalists, winners and their core teams.
- World-class founders, operators, researchers and Jury Council members.
- A small number of investors, programme partners, media and ecosystem leaders whose presence adds substance.
